Thoughts & Prayers: Do They Matter?

It is almost like clockwork. When a terrible tragedy occurs, very soon after will come out the well wishes from people of all kinds as they send their thoughts and prayers to the victims of the tragedy. While these well wishes are often quite sincere and well meaning, there are some who would attack these comments by saying they are empty and worthless. They would say that these thoughts and prayers mean nothing because they are being offered up to nothing. The question we want to consider is, are these people right? Do our thoughts and prayers not matter at all? This lesson seeks to answer this question so that people of faith can be encouraged to continue to always put their faith and trust in God, regardless of what the opposition might say.
