Series: Difficult Sayings Of Jesus

Sadly, we sometimes miss the significance of different phrases or sayings in Scripture becuase we live some 2,000 years after the fact. However, through some effort in study we can come to read the Text just as a first century person would have. One such instance of this is found in Luke 9:23 when Jesus instructs the one who wants to follow Him to "deny himself, and take up his corss daily and follow." This lesson focuses on this difficult saying and what it ought to truly mean to us.
