The Prudence of Gideon (Judges 6)

The first introduction to Gideon usually leaves the reader with the impression that he is weak in his faith and lacking courage. There are certainly some aspects of Judges 6 that might lead to this conclusion, but let me suggest that there might have been more prudence in the character of Gideon than weakness or fear. This lesson considers the actions of Gideon in Judges 6 and gives evidence for his prudence and a few lessons that we can learn from it.
