The Servant's New Direction (Mark 2:18-3:6)

Series: The Incredible Jesus: A Study Through Mark's Gospel

It doesn't take long reading through the Gospel of Mark for it to become abundantly clear that the ministry of Jesus was developing opposition. That opposition was mostly in the form of the established Jewish religious leadership, and it also doesn't take long to see that they recongize that Jesus is bringing about great change to the religious landscape. This great change was a change in direction for the people of God, and sadly many were resistent to such a change. This lesson looks at three instances from Mark 2:18-3:6 in which Jesus and His disciples are challenged in regards to their practice, and I believe it leads us with two important questions that we need to answer for ourselves.
