There are a number of contrasts that are found in Scripture that help us to understand the tension that is present in this world between God and those who are against Him. The most prevalent contrast might be that of light and darkness. The prophet Isaiah wrote of a great Light that would be coming into this dark world, and John identifies Jesus as this Light which would come to bring men from darkness into the light of God. This lesson looks at the importance and implications of both living in and failing to live in the light in this dark world.
