Complicated Heroes Of Faith

While there are some very obvious first ballot "hall of faithers" in Hebrews 11, we must also acknowledge that there are at least a few names included in that well known chapter that might seem a bit out of place for us. We get why people like Abel, Noah, Abraham, and others would be included in this section, but what about Samson? We often throw glitter on Samson's story to our youngest students because he was a judge of Israel, but as I read through his story I am left a little unimpressed by his faith. And yet, he is included in the great hall of faith! What gives? I believe it comes down to the fact that our faiths can sometimes be complicated, and this lesson examines the complicated faith of Samson.
