Series: 2019 Focus: Excelling Still More

There is a concept referred to as nominative determinism that operates on the premise that what something is named can have an influence over what it becomes. This concept would find its evidence in meteorologists with the last names of Freeze, Storm, or Rainwaters; veterinarians with the last names of Pett and Furr; and even the fact that the guy preaching this lesson has the last name of Angel! All kidding aside, there just might be something to this whole concept especially when it comes to who we are in Christ. As we are striving to grow in our ability to excel in everything that we do, this lesson will suggest that remembering who we are in Christ can help us to excel by reminding us what is expected of those who where the name Christian.
