Stolen Valor

You may be familiar with the term stolen valor. If you are familiar then you know this is the term used to describe what someone has done with they wear the uniform or dress uniform of a branch of the military without ever having actually served in the military. To those who are currently inlisted or who are veterans of the military this action of an imposter is quite infuriating, and we can understand why. That person has stolen that which must be earned through hard work and sacrifice. While this matters greatly to a great many people, what should matter more is when mere man seeks to usurp the glory and magnificence of God through taking credit for the great things He has done. This lesson looks at two kings from the Bible, how they were humbled for stealing God's valor and glory, and some lessons we can learn.
