Reviled For Our Good Behavior

Earlier in this year, Vice President Mike Pence came under harsh criticism when his practice of not dining alone with women other than his wife came to be known. Many saw this as sexist and viciously attacked him for his prudence and caution. While the reaction was most unfortunate, let's recognizet that this type of response to good behavior is not anything new. In I Peter, the Apostle Peter addresses the problem of disciples being attacked and reviled for simply living good lives of godliness and righteousness. This lesson focuses on why this takes place and how the Christian can respond well to this unfortunate part of life in Christ.
