Strong Like Mount Zion (Psalm 125)

Series: 2017 Daily Bible Reading (Wisdom Literature)

As the people of Israel made their way of the incline towards Jerusalem for their yearly feasts, they would often sing songs that played upon different characteristics displayed by Jerusalem. One well known aspect of the city of David is that it was a stronghold and a fortress for those who resided within it. It was no small task to go up against Jerusalem in battle, and the sentiment of Psalm 125 is that we too can be strong like Mount Zion in our faiths. This lesson focuses on how that can be done and the strength in which we will be able to stand with God surrounding us.
