In this week's episode of "The Bible Says What??", we find the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 1:18 stating, "the word of the cross is foolishness." Of course, this statement is completely ripped from its context and by itself can sound quite baffling. So what is Paul actually saying? He's saying that the word of the cross or the message of the cross is foolishness only to those who don't care for it. The wise of this world see the cross as foolishness because they cannot see and understand on the level that God can. This lesson considers the foolish cross and how it is actually the very essence of God's wisdom.
